Data management (online) workshop with DataLad
Lennart Wittkuhn from the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, together with Adina Wagner from the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine at Forschungszentrum Jülich, will offer an online workshop on data management with DataLad.
The workshop is free and open to all and targets researchers at every career stage and of any background.
Date: November 18, 2020
Time: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., UTC+1 (Berlin Winter Time)
Location: BigBlueButton video conference (browser-based, no client required)
All those who are interested in participating may register by November 1, 2020 via this form.
The workshop is offered as part of Adina Wagner’s and Lennart Wittkuhn’s ReproNim/INCF fellowship (cf.https://www.repronim.org/fellowship.html) to improve the reproducibility of neuroimaging.
The workshop will center around DataLad, an open source software tool for data management and data publication. During the workshop, participants will learn about core concepts of good research data management: joint version control of code and data, provenance capture for reproducible analysis, organizational principles for data analysis, and workflows and services for data publication and collaboration. Moreover, readily applicable workflows or examples will be demonstrated.
If you have always wanted to get going with version control, are curious to find out how to use DataLad, or want to see simple workflows for reproducible science – from data sharing to reproducible papers –, this workshop will be useful and easier than you think.
